| Women's World Cup squad announced | England Women's Head Coach Gary Street has named the squad which he hopes can win the Women's Rugby World Cup 2010 (WRWC) on home soil this summer.
With just over three months to go until the world's best 12 teams in women's rugby descend on Surrey Sports Park in Guildford and the Twickenham Stoop, home of Harlequins, Street has named an experienced line-up which boasts over 700 caps. read more....

| Women's Rugby League | Fancy a bit of extra training to keep of the pounds this summer? Mowden Sharks player Heidi Swaffield is looking for players to join the Peterlee Pumas. It doesn't matter if you haven't played before all abilities are welcome. | Referee Nikki points way for women whistlers | WOMEN'S rugby union is blossoming as never before and with the imminent arrival of the Women's Rugby World Cup in England, the game is set for another massive surge in interest.
Less well documented, but quietly impressive nonetheless, is the growth in the number of girls and women who are becoming involved in the game via a different route - that of refereeing.
Not everyone is drawn to the rough and tumble of rugby and the physical, combative side of the game, but as a growing number of young women are finding, refereeing allows access to the adrenalin rush of being at the heart of the action and full inclusion in the camaraderie of the sport.read more........ |
