Welcome to an exciting new fundraising idea from the Darlington Mowden Park Sharks.

Becoming a “Friend of the Sharks” enables even those supporters hindered by distance, time or both, to remain connected to the club at minimal cost and inconvenience.

The concept, not unknown to many, revolves around the National Lottery Bonus Ball draw which occurs weekly on a Wednesday evening.

Of course anyone can have a dabble on the lottery, but this idea allows you to combine the thrill of the gamble with the satisfaction of supporting a worthy rugby cause!

On becoming a friend, you will be allocated a number from 1-49 and if the Bonus Ball matches your number a £25 prize is yours! There is no limit as to how many times you can win.

But this is not all the scheme offers. In addition to the cash incentive, on “Shark friendly affiliation” we would be honoured to invite you, free of charge, to our annual Wine and Cheese function which precedes a premiership home game.

Last season the occasion was a resounding success with fantastic fun, gourmet gastronomy and riveting rugby experienced by all.

Additionally, you will receive a newsletter on a quarterly basis including all the latest news, results and craic from the Shark’s camp. This is an ideal way to keep in touch for those unable (but not unwilling) to support the team from close quarters.

So how does one go about becoming a “Friend of the Sharks?

It’s so simple your dog could do it (we do accept canine support). The cost of this rewarding membership is just £8 per month. All you’d need to do is complete a straightforward standing order mandate with your name and bank details and just pop down to your bank with it to complete the process.
