George first took up rugby during her degree at Bath University, following a short-lived dabble in Skeleton Bobsleigh. Achieving selection into the England Students squad during her first season indicated a natural talent for the sport and over the past 4 seasons, George has steadily moved up the ranks and attained her first full cap in the 2008 Six Nations tournament against Scotland.
During the day, George is a well-respected member of the scientific community, earning a living as an analytical chemist. At any other time, where training will allow, she will most likely be found climbing something.
